Privacy Policy

The site saves your preferences directly in your browser's local storage, never on our servers: the cities you're comparing, your reference date/time selection, time-format and theme choices, sunrise/sunset card settings, your custom navigation order, any city alarms or business-hours alerts you create on the Alerts page, and your cookie-consent choice.

This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser's site data (or using a different browser or device) removes it and resets the site to its defaults.

By itself, this site does not set any cookies. When you accept cookies through the banner, we store that choice in your browser (also as local storage, not a tracking cookie), and Google AdSense may then set its own cookies, described below.

We show ads through Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing activity, and to measure ad performance.

These ads only load after you accept cookies in the consent banner. If you reject non-essential cookies, no AdSense script or ad cookie loads, and you'll see a plain placeholder instead. You can review Google's own practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

This site does not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking service. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated first.

To show live information, the site queries these third-party services from your browser or from our own server on your behalf. No personal data is sent to them beyond the city or country names already visible in the app:

• Open-Meteo — current conditions and 7-day forecasts for the /weather page.
• Frankfurter (European Central Bank reference rates) — exchange rates for the /currency page.
• Google News RSS — local headlines for the /news page, fetched through our own server.
• The world map on /map uses Natural Earth boundary data bundled with the site at build time — it is not fetched live and involves no external request.

If you're in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) applies; if you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Because this site keeps almost everything in your own browser, most of these rights are already in your hands:

• Access and portability: open your browser's developer tools (Application/Storage tab) to see exactly what's stored for this site.
• Deletion: clear your browser's site data for this domain, or use the in-app reset options, to erase everything instantly.
• Withdraw consent: use "Cookie preferences" in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your cookie choice.
• Complaint: you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, the ANPD in Brazil, or your national supervisory authority in the EU/UK).

Reopen the cookie banner at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to accept or reject non-essential cookies again.
